Denise Allison
1. How did you find out about CVSC?
I started coming to CVSC because I had a coworker that encouraged me to go. I signed up for 3 months at the beginning or would have quit after the first month because I wasn't doing anything for exercise prior. I was 40 years old when I started and it was hard! It's never too late to start!
3. What is your favorite exercise or workout?
I really like partner workouts because you get a rest with a chance to breathe and a personal cheerleader to keep you going.
5. How long have you been a member at CVSC?
I don't know exactly how long I've been going to CVCS but I think between 8-9 years.
7. What do you do for a living?
I am a remote medical coder for a job and being a nooner is enough social interaction to makes my day better.
9. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy being in the outdoors. Snowshoeing, hiking, and spending time with my kids and granddaughter no matter what we are doing.
10. What are your goals?
My goal is to be able to keep doing hobbies I enjoy, the stuff physical outdoors and to keep showing up to work out.
11. Why do you train?
I train to keep me sane and stay in shape. It's the only workout I've ever done that my brain shuts off from everyday life and all I can think about is finishing the workout.
13. Any advice for future members?
Just be consistent and show up. I will never be the greatest athlete but I continue to show up and my life is better because of it.
