1. How did you find out about CVSC?
I moved to Cache Valley in 2018 and by mid 2019 I was looking for a new gym. I had a few years of Crossfit under my belt from a gym in Davis County and I knew I needed to get back into it now that I was working right there in Logan. I did what many people do and just started Googling for places near my work. I came into the gym cold without knowing anyone but everyone was so friendly and just happy that I was there that it wasn't a problem.
2. What is your favorite exercise or workout?
Some of my favorite exercises include rowing, power cleans and pull-ups.
3. How long have you been a member at CVSC?
I've been at CVSC since June 2019 so about 4 years and I've loved every minute of it.
4. What do you do for a living?
Professionaly I'm a manufacturing engineer. I work for a local circuit board manufacturer.
5. What are your hobbies?
I love flying small airplanes and spending time outdoors with my family camping and hiking.
6. What are your goals?
For my goals I just want to be fit enough that I can kind of keep up with my energetic kids. Becoming independently wealthy would be nice too 😌
7. Why do you train?
I really believe that life is like a river and you can either swim upstream and try and better yourself, or the current will pull you downstream to somewhere you don't want to be. I train because I don't want to end up downstream, sad, lazy and unhealthy; regretting that I didn't do something sooner.
8. Any advice for future members?
My advice to future members is to just start right now. It doesn't matter where you are on the fitness spectrum. Don't put it off because your worried that it will hurt (sometimes it will), or that people might judge you (they won't). The coaches will help you to scale as needed. Just get in there and let the program change your life and your fitness for the better.
