Bart Oldroyd
1. How did you find out about CVSC?
I had a couple of friends who were members, and had met Brad through them.
2. What is your favorite exercise or workout?
I like the Barbell. Deads, cleans, anything really. My favorite workouts are partner WOD'S. I like the camaraderie and mutual respect that shared suffering and accomplishment brings. A partner WOD with cleans and burpees, that puts you both on the floor is right up my alley.
3. How long have you been a member at CVSC?
Almost 9 years.
4. What do you do for a living?
I work at Paragon Medical.
5. What are your hobbies?
Hobbies tend to change over the years, but Cross-country skiing has always been a constant. I like riding my bike around, hanging out with friends, watching my flowers grow, and of course, going to the gym!
6. What are your goals?
Ongoing goals of 4 times a week at the gym. Nutrition and sleep are alway at the Forefront. Lift heavier.
7. Why do you train?
Health and longevity, self esteem, community, long list actually. Years ago going to CVSC just became a way of life. I look forward every day to seeing my gym friends and pushing myself, sometimes to the limit. Walking out of there knowing you gave your all is an amazing feeling.
8. Any advice for future members?
Commit for 3 months. And then commit for 6 months. By then you will see and feel the benifits of CVSC. The amazing community, and the friends you will meet will motivate you more then the typical gym environment ever could. Having workouts programmed for you by professionals, who care about your long term health and success is worth every cent. I tell people my age that as long as you're going to hurt, you may as well hurt in a good way! And, it only hurts for a minute. Kinda...
